voting soon

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

The best way to prepare yourself for voting next time is to start at the beginning again and focus on basic history and how the government is set-up.

Learn about the three branches of government and what they are

Learn about our history

Learn about the Bill of Rights, from grade school type material. Look for something geared to a 4th-6th grade level.

Learn about the United States Constitution

Learn about the Declaration of Independence.

Before you can make any change, you need to start there.

The whole reason we are where we are at now is because your peers do not know any of these basic rights.

They just speak and vote and parrot so they don’t have to admit that they know nothing.

You have an advantage because you are not afraid to admit you know nothing.

Let me know if you want some resources for the above topics. Those are the foundations of how you should vote. Because how you feel about those documents and about being an American will provide you an opportunity to make an informed decision when voting.

It will require much reading, but as a result we will have a stronger society because you took the time to read.

The most important part is knowing your culture’s history. Knowing what came before and then deciding where *you* as an individual would like things to end up. Do not become someone else’s agenda. Become your own voice.

You cannot speak until you have listened to yourself

Then find out where to vote

P.S. this was originally dedicated to my sister, but then I realized that it can apply to many people.

I just had a great idea. But first I want to talk to myself about how I may or may not be recovering my archives and all of my previous content. I was building an actual library of content there for a minute. I want to do as schneier had proposed and store all of my life in one digital location. We are getting closer. I could build a computer to solely track keldwud through google and download all content and arrange it chronologically. Then what would I do with it? Gimme some ideas of what one would do with a whole years worth of recorded life all in the same spot. How would you chose to relive it?

The idea that I am considering is going to be something of an artpiece. It will inflame and enrage many because it involves not quite creating the content but aggregating the content to tell a story. Instead of using one person’s content, I will use the internets to tell a story by pulling comments and posts and all sorts of what-not off the live feed and pulling them out of context and placing them in a new context.

The idea may not be new, and I may be screwing myself out of a cool idea by tipping my hand for all to see but who cares? Ima have some fun with this new idea.

I hope to create a multi-media art exhibit to display in an actual art gallery. I wish to combine all the different types of media and put them together into one cohesive jumbled chaotic work to display. I think this is something that I can pull off.
