Glenn, you're absolutely correct. I can't argue with you :)

I was headed down the path of hypocrisy by learning to hate those who preach hate.

What set me off on my rant in the first place was an episode of 30 days where a mormon lady who was against gay marriage had to stay with two gay males who were raising four children and it was heartbreaking to see how strong her commitment to denying others rights was.

The other thing that got my blood boiling was the hatred I have been fighting against with people who know where my daughter is and refuse to share any information because of their soiled perception of the world which I blame partly on their lack of an education.

Another common stereotype is how successful someone is. Someone who just graduated from high school but has built up their own success, hires employees, feeds the economy seems to be much less "hateful" than someone who is highly educated but is much less successful.

It is interesting to me how many who seek "change" and "hope" and have an irrational fear of people like McCain, or Barr are the same people who are falling all over themselves to violate my civil rights in more ways than I could have imagined in America. Nothing is more hateful than to destroy someone's ambition, drive, passion, wealth, and success.

Like any stereotype though, it breaks down easily. Whether educated or not, successful contributor or looter, there are plenty of examples and counter examples across the sprctrum. Stereotyping only leads to bigotry and hate.

*sigh* unfortunately this seems to be the same mood I am in.

After watching this: http://tinyurl.com/6jw68m, having my Mum come back with the comments, "Well, Jesus was a carpenter and Lincoln was a store keeper." to your earlier tweet of "Elitism is not a four letter word: http://tinyurl.com/5a7epg", and seeing what the McCain campaign can get away with saying during this election lead up has put me in the most depressed state in regards to how the decisions of a mostly politically uneducated nation is going to affect the rest of the world.

There are no doubts, if McCain is elected it will just confirm to the masses just how lost we all think America really is.
